Jason Mayoski had a massive fatal heart attack at age 37 - leaving behind his Chicago police officer wife and three small children... Please help this family....
One evening Nicholas, Jason and Brooke were playing in bed with their Daddy, giving him kisses and then getting tucked into bed knowing when they woke up the next morning they would see their Daddy off to the fire house. But, that didn’t happen the morning of August 24, 2012. Instead they woke up to their Mom, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends crying, broken-hearted and sad. Being so young, they did not comprehend how their lives had changed in just a few short hours. Their Daddy was gone. Later Nicholas 3, Jason 2 and Brooke only one week away from her 1st birthday, were told their Daddy is in heaven with the angels. Daddy would be their angel; always at their side. Ask Nicholas where his Daddy is at and he will look up at the sky, point and tell you, “My Daddy is up there.”
Nicholas, Jason and Brooke’s Daddy is Jason “Mayo” Mayoski. The “Mayo” family lives in the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood of Chicago. Their Daddy was a relief Engineer in District 5 and a 16 year member of the Chicago Fire Department. Their Mommy is, Jennifer Chapin Mayoski, an officer with the Chicago Police Department. In just an instant, their loving family of five was now incomplete. Jason died suddenly in his sleep, at the age of 37, from a massive heart attack.
Today, the cost to raise a child to the age of 17 is well over $200,000 which includes food, shelter and other necessities. This does not include private education or college costs. With costs soaring, it is unimaginable what the cost of an education will be when Nicholas, Jason and Brooke head to college. Therefore, family and friends have come together to plan the “All 4 Mayo” benefit in order to help ease the financial burden Jennifer will encounter as she provides and raises the children on her own. Our goal is to not only support Jen emotionally, but also financially, so Jen and Jason’s ultimate dream for their children to attend college will become a reality
