Luwanda Hethington, 48, killed "Driving While black" on Chicago's South Side

An Indiana woman has died following a traffic accident in the Park Manor neighborhood Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Luwanda Hethington, 48, was declared dead at 5:28 p..m. at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County following the accident in the 600 block of East 68th Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The Chicago Police Department News Affairs office had been notified of a motor vehicle accident at that location and that the Major Accident Investigation Unit was investigating, but had no details.
