I know you will think this a joke but I have never given you bad info before, When Dart opened a chicken coup at the Cook County Jail they started with 30 chickens. They found a dead chicken at the jail that was sexually assaulted and murdered. The big wigs at the jail wanted to just dispose the chicken to avoid the embarrassment. Of course our crazy sheriff opened a huge internal investigation and even had DNA taken from the dead chicken.  I will try to get you the police report. But this is 100% legit.

Oliver Spann, 27, Murders his ex-girlfriend's new lover who is almost twice his age..... Elvis Canfield killed at 51

A 27-year-old man was charged today in connection with the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend's new 51-year-old boyfriend.

Oliver Spann of the 700 block of North Trumbull Avenue was charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Elvis Canfield, 51. Canfield was stabbed several times during an early morning fight on Aug. 28 on the 3900 block of West Division Street, police said.

Shortly after 1 a.m. that day, Canfield, of the 1100 block of North Pulaski Road and Spann got into a fight. Canfield was stabbed in the chest and shoulder, then stumbled around a parked car before collapsing on the sidewalk, police said.

Before collapsing Canfield had grabbed a pole outside a store and left a bloody hand print at the scene, police said.

He was later pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Spann was arrested for the slaying after he was identified as the person who stabbed Canfield. The victim was the current boyfriend of a woman that Spann had previously dated, police said.

Spann was scheduled to appear in Bond Court on Sunday.

Three 18-year-old men have been charged with murder in the http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20130825/NEWS/130825007/?odyssey=nav|head">beating death of a Des Moines man last weekend.

Yarvon Nathaniel Russell, 18, James Alon Shorter, 18, and Kent Anthony Tyler III, 18, all of Des Moines, were charged Friday with first-degree murder.

Russell has been arrested and is being held in Polk County Jail on a $500,000 bond. Shorter was taken into custody by Des Moines police and a  warrant has been issued for Tyler's arrest.

Officers found Richard Daughenbaugh, 40, severely beaten in a parking lot near the Center Street bridge around 1 a.m. Sunday. He later died from his injuries at a local hospital.

The medical examiner ruled the cause of death as undetermined.

Des Moines Police Sgt. Jason Halifax said Daughenbaugh apparently got into a verbal altercation with one of the three suspects; Halifax declined to say which one. The altercation turned physical when one of the men attacked Daughenbaugh. The other two men  - and likely several others - joined in.

"We feel there are probably more and if we can file charges, we will," Halifax said.

Besides the three charged, there were apparently several dozen people gathered in the parking lot during the beating.

Police received only one 911 call, from a woman fishing with her boyfriend, who apparently tried to stop the attack. She was hit while trying to step in. Her boyfriend tried to defend her and was assaulted as well.

Le'Prese Derrion Williams, 21, of Des Moines, was charged with willful injury for that attack. Two others, Shanayia Hamer, 22, and Franreca Woods, 18, were charged with first-degree theft for allegedly taking and throwing the woman's cell phone when she tried calling 911.

Detectives don’t know why the group had gathered and don’t know what Daughenbaugh was doing in the area.

“I don’t think we’ll ever really know,” Halifax said.

While some in the crowd were reportedly gang members, police said they don't believe the beating was gang-related. There is no indication Daughenbaugh had anything to do with any gangs or knew anyone involved in the beating, Halifax said.

"The phrase mob mentality is accurate here," Halifax said. "Once the assault began, acquaintances of the first suspect jumped in.

Detectives have interviewed more than 20 witnesses but believe there are likely others who can contribute to the case and urged them to come forward.

“It’s very common, when we have larger groups, that not everyone comes forward,” Halifax said.

Daughenbaugh’s death was the eighth homicide in Des Moines so far this year and the 10th in Polk County.

Naked man tasered by Chicago police outside North Coast Music Festival - ACTUAL VIDEO

Chicago police tasered a naked man who jumped atop a Mercedes Benz and planted his buttocks through its windshield outside the North Coast Music Festival on Saturday night. 

The 22-year-old from Massachusetts was intoxicated or high on a hallucinogenic drug at the time, police said. 

Two people called 911 from Ogden Avenue near Randolph Street about 8:10 p.m. - one to report a naked man who broke a windshield, and the other to report a naked man jumping on top of cars.  Officers arrived to find the man without clothing, sitting in a puddle on the ground. He was acting erratically and did not comply with commands, police said. 

After breaking the windshield and getting tasered, he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for observation and to get shards of glass removed from his buttocks. 

Charges of criminal damage to property are pending against the man. 

The North Coast Music Festival draws thousands of people to Union Park on the near west side and this year features performances from dozens of acts, including Nas, the Wu Tang Clan, and Mac Miller.

Lightning strikes National Weather Service office

National Weather Service forecasters in Romeoville got a close look Saturday afternoon at the storm they were tracking when lightning struck their office on the campus of Lewis University in the southwest suburb.

It knocked out the weather radar there and limited communication as the storm passed, officials said. The office is the agency’s Chicago-area headquarters.

DAVID FROST DEAD AT 74

Veteran British broadcaster David Frost, best known for his series of interviews with disgraced U.S. President Richard Nixon, has died. He was 74.
His death was reported by the BBC, which aired many of his shows, and by Al Jazeera English, where he also worked.

"My heart goes out to David Frost's family," British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted Sunday morning. "He could be -- and certainly was with me -- both a friend and a fearsome interviewer."
Frost's interviews with Nixon, and the story behind them, were portrayed in the play and film "Frost/Nixon," written by Peter Morgan.

In a 2009 interview, Frost told CNN he did not see the interviews as "an intellectual 'Rocky,'" as Morgan called them.

Nixon at one point let down his guard, telling Frost, "I'm saying when the president does it, that means it's not illegal." For many viewers, that moment cemented Nixon's infamy.

Chicago police shot and killed a man in the Old Town Triangle neighborhood before midnight Saturday night

Chicago police shot and killed a man in the Old Town Triangle neighborhood before midnight Saturday night, according to police and a union spokesman.

The off-duty officer lives in the area and saw a man on the porch of a vacant apartment about 11:30 p.m., Fraternal Order of Police Spokesman Patrick Camden said. 

The officer called 911 twice during the incident, Camden said.  He called out to the man to see what he was doing and the man replied "you don't want no part of me," Camden said. 

The man had a bag or sack over his shoulder and his hand on his waistband, Camden said, but repeatedly ignored the officer's commands to come down after he identified himself as an officer. 

"So he comes downstairs and the officer says, 'Let me see your hands.' The guy keeps telling him, 'You don't want no part of me,'" Camden said. "And a neighbor is standing there and tells him, 'He's a police officer, he's a police officer, show him your hands.'" 

The man turned down a gangway and started to walk away but the officer told him there was no way out of that gangway, Camden said. 

The man, in a dark gangway, grabbed his waistband and threatened to kill the officer while continuing to ignore the officer's demands to show his hands, Camden said. 

The officer opened fire after the man grabbed his waistband, striking the man, Camden said. He died at the scene, and the officer was not injured. 

"It was pretty loud to be heard inside his apartment, so it had to be super loud for it to be heard," said Taimur Farasat, 27, who was at a friends house on Lincoln Avenue when he heard two gunshots. 

The Chicago Police Department released a statement about 4 a.m. confirming Camden's account of the shooting. 

It's not clear whether a gun was recovered at the scene. As of 5 a.m., the Cook County medical examiner's office wasn't sure who the dead man was, but said he was in his 20s and pronounced dead at the scene about 12:20 a.m.
