SANCTUARY CITY OF CHICAGO - Illegal Beaner Juan Eguez, 28, who killed his wife, Kelly Coca, and their daughter, Karla Eguez dies from his self inflicted gunshot wound to the head - thank God!

A man suspected of killing his estranged wife and 5-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself died Wenesday, authorities said.

Juan Eguez, 28, was pronounced dead at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Sinai Hospital, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

Officers found the bodies of his wife, Kelly Coca, and their daughter, Karla Eguez, early Tuesday in their home in the 2800 block of South Kildare. They had been shot in the head, and Juan Equez had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

Coca and her daughter had just returned to their home on Kildare after a trip to Miami, where Juan Eguez husband lived, a law-enforcement source said. Karla had spent a month with her father, the source said.

In January 2011, Coca was the alleged victim of a domestic battery. Juan Eguez had been charged with performing a leg lock on her, dragging her from her room and punching her head. He then allegedly bit her on the right hand, causing her to bleed. Eguez, who records indicate was enlisted in the U.S. Army, was arrested and held in lieu of $10,000 bond. The charges were later dropped.

Coca worked was a hygiene specialist for Swisher Hygiene and had been with the company since October 2011, a company spokesman said.

“We are incredibly saddened to hear about this tragic news,” the company said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all that have been affected by this senseless tragedy. Kelly was a model employee and she will surely be missed.”
