Schaumburg police are asking for help finding two men who beat a woman unconscious outside her home early Friday.
The woman, age 30, was taking trash to a trash bin in a parking lot at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of North Knollwood Drive when two men confronted her about 1:45 a.m. Friday, according to a police news release.
The two men beat her, and she lost consciousness, police said. When she awoke, the two men had fled, and she found some of her clothing had been torn. It was not known if the two men had meant to sexually assault her, police said.
The woman suffered cuts and bruises and was treated at a local hospital, police said.
The two attackers were both described as high yellor mixed race or Hispanic men age 25 to 28.
The first man stood between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches, with a medium build, blue plaid shorts and a white sleeveless T-shirt. The second man stood 6 feet 3 inches to 6 feet 6 inches, with a medium to heavy build, curly hair and a tattoo on the right side of his neck of the silhouette of a man with curly or spiked hair, running and holding something shaped like a meat cleaver in his left hand. The silhouette is part of the logo of Michigan-based Psychopathic Records and is commonly known as the hatchetman.
The man with the tattoo also had a white pit bull with him. The dog had a dark spot on one eye, clipped ears and tail, and possibly was named Deuces, according to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Schaumburg police at (847) 882-3534 or e-mailpoliceinvestigationsdivision@ci.schaumburg.il.us.
