Ever since Dixmoor turned black.... Crime is through the roof! We need help!

The police chief of south suburban Dixmoor was fired Thursday, after the town’s mayor said he “embarrassed” her when he called the Cook County Sheriff’s office to help with a police staffing shortage last week, a law enforcement source said Friday.
Mayor Dorothy Armstrong told Police Chief Robert Fox in a phone call that his services were no longer needed, the source said.
Fox called the sheriff’s office after two Dixmoor police officers walked off the job on the midnight shift early Sunday to protest their work conditions, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said earlier this week. The sheriff’s office responded by dispatching a sheriff’s sergeant and three sheriff’s officers to patrol Dixmoor on the midnight shift.
